Modern credit management retrieves up-to-date information from internal and external data sources on a large scale. This, however, does not suffice. The data need to be merged in a way that allows you to derive useful information from them and to use them as a basis for making informed decisions.
In order to optimize reporting options, SAP has provided the SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW), which is the core component of the SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (BI), in addition to the reports available in the ERP system. SAP BW is a complex Enterprise Data Warehouse containing a large number of InfoProviders that can be used as a basis for analysis and reporting. The Business Content, a key feature of the SAP BW system, merges all data from the operative SAP systems, such as ERP, CRM, SRM, etc., that are relevant for analysis and reporting.
In most cases, however, the reporting options are very limited and fail to match the structure and complexity required in credit and collection management.
